Catching up with Members of the 1989-90 LMU Hoops Team 20 Years Later

I can't believe its been 20 years but it has. 20 years since the death of one of the most remarkable college basketball players ever - Hank Gathers. And 20 years since the LMU Lions captured the hearts of the nation as they made their run through the NCAA Tournament after the tragic passing of their leader on and off of the court.

In late January, I had the opportunity to reunite with the members of that inspirational team in Los Angeles as Loyola Marymount University honored the players and coaches from that team.

Over the past 20 years, I have been asked numerous times about what happened to some of the key players from that team - Bo Kimble, Jeff Fryer, Tom Peabody, Terrell Lowery, Per Stumer and others.

When I was in Los Angeles for the reunion, I caught up with many of the players and coaches and interviewed them for a very special edition of Sports Business Radio.

As the radio voice for the 1989-90 LMU Lions along with my broadcast partner Keith Forman, we had a special seat to witness and describe history.

This week, Keith Forman joined me on Sports Business Radio to reminisce about that season. You can also hear my conversations with members of the team so you can finally learn what they've been doing for the past 20 years.

Listen to our show ON DEMAND here.

Enjoy.

It was an honor to be a part of that 1989-90 LMU Lions basketball team.
